Hello there! I see you want to know a little more about little old me? Or, perhaps a little more about the site? Well, you’re on the right page. First off, thanks for coming by and sticking by, I greatly appreciate you taking the time. Second off, let’s get to know each other a little better. Feel free to tell me all about yourself via my contact page, yeah?

So, a little more about me. My name’s Nuru, and I’m a mother of three. My children have mostly grown up now (though one’s still at home as they finish up their college studies), and I have learned a lot from them all being here and growing into their own wonderful selves. Before I was a stay-at-home mom, I was an accountant. Nowadays, though, my interests have shifted much more into the home decor side of things (though my financial background still helps!), and have been working in the trade for a few years between looking after my family and other matters.

Oh, and I love cats. Just so you know!

So, the name. Bawel, weird right? It’s an Indonesian word that means fussy. I encountered it when I was younger and used to travel around, but the fact that it was used negatively always seemed so strange to me. What’s wrong with being fussy? I get if it’s to the detriment of those around you, but everyone is fussy to a degree. I think as long as it doesn’t rule your life, it can be a positive thing. Hearing the word and learning what it means made me want to try to make it a positive one somehow, and this site is me digging into the task ahead. Here’s hoping it works out!

So, in terms of writing, I’m aiming for a post a month. Life may be strange at the time of writing (Sept 2020, for those folks in the future!) but it is never quiet. Always something to do, to fix, or to work on, right? I may be able to do some more sometimes but as a whole one, a month is the goal.

If you want to know more, or just want to chat, feel free to send me something on my contact page. For now, I think it is time to get back onto things!

Have a great day!
